Support for Korean Literature Translators

Support for Korean Literature Translators

  • We invite overseas translators in Korea for a residence program to help them enhance their translation skills. They will have a chance to participate in a translation workshop and interact with authors, critics and publishers.
  • In addition, we support translators to participate in overseas literary translation programs so that they can build a global network in addition to improving their translation skills.

Eligibility

Eligibility

  • Translators who have published at least one work of Korean literature, culture or arts abroad
  • Translators who have received an award for translating a work of Korean literature, culture or arts
  • Anyone who has contributed significantly to the worldwide dissemination of Korean literature

Details

  • Financial Support: Round-trip airfare, housing, and living expenses
  • Activities: meetings with writers, literary excursions, and translation seminars
