LTI Korea President Kim Sa-in and Spanish-language instructor Professor Yoon Sunme delivered congratulatory addresses lauding the 10th class’s efforts over the past two years and encouraging their future endeavors. The speeches were followed by a brief overview of the Regular Course’s activities thus far. Afterwards, students were given their certificates of completion, and honors awards were handed to one student from each language group.

Students were treated to a video of their academic careers from the fall of 2017 to spring of 2019, as well as a reading of four poems translated into English by So J. Lee, a member of the 10th class. Having expressed the desire to speak for the marginalized upon her entry to the program, Lee described how happy she was to be able to give a reading of queer poetry at the ceremony as she went through her translations from the poetry anthology Unexpected Vanilla by Hyemi Lee.
