The ceremony began with an introduction to the instructors and an overview of the student selection process, followed by announcements.

The 12th class of the Translation Academy Special Course received 159 applications from 7 language groups, with a total of 40 selected for 7 language groups. Over the course of the year, the selected students will attend literary translation classes that center on translation practicums.

The Translation Atelier is geared towards graduates of the Translation Academy Regular Course or Special Course who are professionally involved in translation. Of 45 new applicants and returning students from 7 language groups from the previous year, a total of 30 were selected, representing 6 language groups.

The LTI Korea Translation Academy, founded to foster professional translators of Korean literature and equip them with knowledge about the field as well as international sensibilities, currently includes three courses (Regular, Special, and Atelier). This year, the Special Course was changed to allow returning students to register again, providing them with continued specialized education in the translation of Korean literature. The LTI Korea Translation Academy is committed to nurturing literary translators who will take the lead in the global expansion of Korean literature.
