Advanced Course in Cultural Contents Translation

Designed to foster professional translatorsof cultural contents, our Advanced Course in Cultural Contents Translation starts in April and runs for 24 weeks. The practice-based curriculum provides those interested in various forms of cultural contents(film, webtoon, TV series and animation) with opportunities to gain relevant knowledge and experience. In addition to the regular classes, various other programs such as monthly special lectures and workshops with authors are offered.

Duration
  • 1st Semester: 2022. 9.~12.
  • 2nd Semester: 1st half of 2023
    The course consists of two semesters. The class schedule is subject to change.
Class Schedule
  • 15 hours per week (weekdays)
  • * Students will be notified of specific schedules beforeto the start of the term.
Curriculum
  • Translation of film subtitles and webtoons
  • Additional programs such as monthly special lectures and workshops with authors
Admissions
  • Fellowship applicants (foreign nationals living abroad): 3 students for each language
  • General applicants (Koreans and foreign nationals living in Korea): 3~4 students for each language

Application Procedure

Application Procedure
EligibilityKoreans and foreigners interested in translating Korean literature who can attend the course for two years. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and a relevant certificate of linguistic proficiency.
