Literary Exchange Projects

About

LTI Korea works in close partnership with other relevant institutes at home and abroad for the purpose of organizing and supporting various exchange projects. We contribute significantly to the promotion of Korean literature worldwide. In the last quarter of 2018, we introduced additional exchange projects to expand opportunities for literary exchange and cooperation.

Literary Journals

We provide major international literary journals with support for the publication of special editions on Korean literature, thereby introducing new Korean writers and their works to the wider world.

Literary Events and Festivals

We send Korean writers to major international literary festivals and events to benefit from the festivals’ publicity and audience. Preferences are given to writers whose works are in demand in the international market or recently published overseas.

International Book Fairs

In order to promote Korean literature worldwide and expand the scope of translation and publication of Korean books, we attend major international book fairs throughout the year and engage in intensive and strategic marketing and publishing activities.

Academic Events

By supporting academic seminars and conferences on Korean literature or translation, we help researchers and translators of Korea literature further develop their work.

Invitations and Research Trips

We invite overseas publishing professionals and journalists to Korea and provide opportunities for them to interact directly with Korean writers. Our efforts result in international media coverage and overseas publication of Korean literature.
