Call for Applications: 2026 K-Literature Fellowship

2026 K-Literature Fellowship Program



The K-Literature Fellowship invites international publishers and literary agencies to connect with the Korean literature publishing community. Through curated copyright meetings and networking programs, the Fellowship fosters meaningful engagement with Korean literature and future publishing collaborations.


Application Period: March 3 – April 3, 2026 (KST)

□ Benefits

- Exclusive one-on-one meetings with leading Korean publishers, agents, translators, and authors

- English-language introduction materials on major Korean publishers and selected titles

- Round-trip economy-class airfare and accommodation

- Per diem support (KRW 50,000 per day, up to four days, based on the official schedule)

- Interpretation services for one-on-one meetings, available upon request



□ Eligibility

- Open to international publishers and literary agencies with an interest in publishing Korean literary works.



□ Program Details

- (Dates) September 7 – September 10, 2026

- (Venue) Coex, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

- (Participants) Approximately 50 Korean and international publishers/agents

- (Requirements)

1) Participate in at least ten meetings with publishing professionals during the event period, including a minimum of five copyright meetings with Korean publishers/agencies

2) Engagement in program components, including:

A. Introductory Session: An expert-lead presentation on the structure and current trends of Korean literary publishing industry

B.Pitching Session by leading/emerging Korean literary translators

C. Korean Literature Copyright Fair

D. Networking Program with Korean publishing professionals

3) Complete a post-program satisfaction survey



□ Selection Process & Criteria

Applications will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

- Feasibility and originality of the proposed participation plan

- Track record in publishing or representing Korean literary works

- Local visibility and professional capacity

- Potential for effective matchmaking and copyright agreements with Korean publishers/agents

※ Results will be announced in the third or fourth week of April 2026 and communicated individually by email.
